Depending on the areas you would like treated you will need between 6-10 sessions for best results. If you do have hormonal conditions, you may need to have more frequent maintenance treatments after your course to keep on top of your results. For non-hormonal hair growth you may still need top up sessions every so often. Generally speaking, body hair treatment sessions are approximately 6-8 weeks apart and require an average of 6-10 sessions in total, and facial hair treatments require approximately 6-10 treatment sessions, roughly 4-6 weeks apart.

Yes! Unlike IPL, our laser is designed to treat all skin types safely and effectively, with tailored settings to suit individual needs. This advanced system combines two gold-standard lasers in one machine: the Alexandrite laser, ideal for hair removal on lighter skin types, and the Nd:YAG laser, perfect for darker skin types. However, if you have an active tan—whether from a sun holiday, sunbed, or fake tan—we won’t be able to treat you immediately due to the increased risk of burning or pigmentation. In these cases, we’ll need to wait until your tan fades, which is why Autumn and Winter are the ideal times to start your laser hair removal journey. For naturally darker skin tones, our Nd:YAG capability ensures safe and effective results every time.

The short answer is no, this is a common misconception about laser hair removal. While it won’t remove 100% of hair permanently, it will significantly reduce the amount of hair you have (up to 95%) and dramatically cut down the time you spend on maintenance. Shaving will become a rare chore, and any remaining hair after a full course of sessions will be so fine and sparse, it’s barely noticeable. Top-Ups Occasional top-up treatments may be needed if you notice some regrowth over time. Some of our clients come in for a top up every 6 months to stay on top of any new growth, while others find they don’t need any additional treatments—every client’s experience is unique. Hormonal Changes In some cases, hormonal changes such as pregnancy or conditions that trigger hormonal hair growth may require additional or ongoing treatments. These changes can stimulate new hair growth, but rest assured, we’ll help you manage it effectively if needed.

Honestly? It’s not the most relaxing treatment that we do! But it is usually fairly tolerable. Typically, it sits at about a 5 or 6 out of 10 on your pain threshold. It feels like tiny elastic bands flicking on the skin. Because we use a quick laser, sessions are fairly short, and we also use cold air simultaneously with the laser, so any discomfort is kept to a minimum.

If you have an active tan from either a sun holiday, sun bed, or even fake tan we cannot treat you due to the increased risk of burning or pigmentation to the skin. We would have to wait until the tan is faded before we treat, which is why the best time of year to treat is in the Autumn and Winter. Having said that, we can treat naturally darker skin types safely and effectively using the Nd:YAG capability on our laser machine.

No. We would need to stop treatment should you become pregnant during your course and wait until after the baby is born and you have stopped breast-feeding before re-commencing. Pregnancy can sometimes result in some hair regrowth.

Laser hair removal can be carried out on all parts of the face and body. Popular areas include the legs, bikini line, underarms, face, back and chest. We treat both women and men, and tailor the treatment plan to your individual goals.

Before treatment, avoid sun exposure, fake tan and waxing for at least two weeks, and shave the area 24 hours beforehand. After treatment, the skin may be a little sensitive or warm. We recommend avoiding hot showers, saunas, vigorous exercise and direct sun for 24–48 hours, and always applying SPF to exposed areas. Your therapist will give you full aftercare guidance at your appointment.

Yes. Our laser has a built-in cooling systems to protect the skin while effectively targeting the hair follicle, and it tolerable by even sensitive skins. It’s normal to experience some mild redness or warmth after treatment, but this usually settles within a few hours. At your consultation, we will assess your skin type and carry out a patch test to ensure the treatment is both safe and effective for you.
