Your journey with electrolysis begins with a thorough consultation to ensure the treatment is tailored to your needs and goals. We ask that you arrive with some hair growth in the area you’d like treated, as this allows us to assess your hair type and determine its suitability for electrolysis. During the consultation, we’ll discuss your medical history, explain the process in detail, outline a treatment plan and answer any questions you may have.
To help you understand what the treatment feels like, we’ll perform a short, 5-minute session as part of your initial visit. This not only gives you a clear idea of what to expect during future sessions but also allows us to gauge your skin’s response to the treatment. This approach ensures you feel informed, comfortable, and confident as you begin your journey to permanent hair removal.

During your sessions, you’ll be comfortably positioned while your practitioner carefully treats each hair follicle within an area using a fine, sterile probe. A small electrical current is applied to destroy the follicle’s growth center, we then remove the hair with tweezers. Sensations vary, but most clients describe it as a quick, warm tingling or a slight pinprick. While not completely pain-free, it’s generally tolerable, and we can make adjustments to keep you comfortable. We will treat as many hairs as we can within the given treatment time, and apply aloe vera to calm the skin before you leave.

After your session, it’s normal to experience mild redness and slight swelling of the treated follicles, which usually subsides within a few hours. We will apply aloe vera to calm the skin before you leave to ensure your skin feels settled. We recommend Sterex aloe vera to use at home after your appointment, which is available to purchase at the Studio. We’ll also provide you with aftercare instructions to protect your skin and promote healing, such as avoiding sun exposure, heat treatments, or harsh skincare products for a few days.
