What is the difference between CACI and ENDYMED as a skin treatment?
When it comes to natural skin rejuvenation, there is so much choice in the skin and aesthetics market, it can sometimes be hard to know which is the right option for you.
Here we shall lay out two of the most popular age-management skin treatments we use at Elite Skin Studio so that you can better understand the differences and similarities between the two.
Firstly, let’s consider the key signs of changing and ageing skin that we typically see when we look to work on a client’s skin.
Wrinkles and Fine Lines:
Fine lines around the eyes (crow’s feet), forehead lines, and smile lines (nasolabial folds) are common concerns. These result from the natural loss of collagen and elastin, leading to reduced skin elasticity.
Sagging Skin:
Loss of skin firmness and sagging, particularly in areas like the jawline, cheeks, and neck, is a prominent sign of aging. It occurs due to decreased collagen production and the effects of gravity over time.
Uneven Skin Tone:
Age spots, sunspots, and uneven pigmentation become more apparent as skin ages. Sun damage over the years contributes to the development of these discolorations. Aging skin may appear dull, lacking the youthful glow associated with healthy, vibrant skin. This dullness can be attributed to a slower cell turnover rate and reduced blood flow to the skin.
Loss of Volume:
The loss of subcutaneous fat and a decrease in collagen can lead to a loss of volume in the face. This may result in hollowed cheeks, sunken eyes, and less definition in facial features.
Thinning Skin:
Aging skin tends to become thinner, making blood vessels more visible. Thinning skin is also more susceptible to damage and may take longer to heal.
What do CACI and ENDYMED do?
CACI Non-Surgical Solutions:
Technology used – Microcurrent
Targets facial muscles, contributing to improved contours and a lifted appearance.
Endymed Radiofrequency:
Technology used – Radiofrequency
Addresses signs of aging such as wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin by stimulating collagen production and promoting skin tightening.
Simply put, CACI works on your muscle tone, and ENDYMED works on your collagen and elastin stimulation. This is why CACI and ENDYMED are not competitors in the anti-ageing sphere. Indeed, they are more like partners. With CACI working to strengthen and lift your facial muscles and ENDYMED working to tighten the skin on top of your muscle, the two modalities work hand in hand for holistic, natural skin rejuvenation.
Pain levels / Treatment experience
Endymed
Endymed treatments are generally comfortable and well-tolerated by our clients. The main sensation is the feeling of heat that builds up in the skin, which is required to stimulate collagen and elastic. The technology’s precision allows for targeted energy delivery without causing significant discomfort. There is minimal downtime, perhaps a little flushing of the skin for an hour or so, making it a convenient option for those with busy lifestyles.
CACI
CACI treatments are non-invasive and typically painless. Clients may experience a mild tingling sensation during the microcurrent application, but overall, the procedure is very comfortable and relaxing, making it a great choice for individuals seeking subtle yet noticeable improvements without the inconvenience of recovery periods.
Versatility and Treatment Choice
Both CACI and ENDYMED enable us as your skin therapist to create very bespoke treatments according to your individual goals. There is no one-size-fits-all approach in anything that we do at Elite.
For example, with CACI, we can focus on your jowl muscles with a specially designed “Jowl Lift” prong, and we can soothe your eye area with specifically designed “Eye Revival” Rollers.
With ENDYMED, not only can we treat the key areas of neck, cheeks, and eyes, but we’re also able to intertwine a targeting approach to contouring your jawline with a “Mini Shaper” handpiece.
This is how we can create a truly tailored approach to your concerns.
Frequency and maintenance
As with all natural skin rejuvenation treatments, it requires a progressive and continuing approach. This is so we can either train your muscles with CACI or create new collagen with ENDYMED.
CACI: 10 sessions to be taken over 5 weeks, and a monthly maintenance treatment going forward.
ENDYMED: 6 sessions to be taken over 8 weeks, with maintenance treatments every 3 months.
Many clients, upon experiencing the benefit of combining these two treatments will typically visit once every 4-6 weeks and alternate their ENDYMED and CACI treatments on each visit which we’ve found yields the best results for a lifted, youthful and healthy appearance of the skin.
To conclude, in the world of non-surgical skincare, the combination of CACI Non-Surgical Solutions and Endymed Radiofrequency at Elite reflects a commitment to the best in natural skin rejuvenation. Both treatments offer a tailored approach to address our clients’ individual goals, covering a spectrum of aging skin concerns. Whilst differing on their physiological approach: CACI to the muscle, and ENDYMED to the skin, these two treatments unite in their experience of no pain and no downtime. At Elite the emphasis is on achieving natural rejuvenation with treatments that are as effective as they are enjoyable.
